Founded in 1967, UCalgary’s Cumming School of Medicine has been creating the future of health for the past 50 years. Renamed in 2014 after businessman Geoffrey Cumming, the school is a leader in the field of precision medicine and precision public health, as well as training over 2,500 future scholars and physicians.

Joining investigators from the School of Medicine are researchers from the Ward of the 21st Century (W21C), a team of experts from a variety of fields such as business, engineering, and psychology. Founded with the goal of lowering preventable adverse events within healthcare, the team works to hone the cutting edge of health technologies and policy.
